Last night Trinity Nielsen and her friends wanted to have a get together before one left for most of the summer.
They wanted to sleep in the tent and watch movies on our projector we got for Christmas. They also wanted a fire for s’mores and hot dogs.
So we put up the tent, lit a fire, and then the whole crew enjoyed dinner and s’mores. Then the 3 youngest went to bed.
It took me and Trinity awhile to find where Missy had put the projector and then when we hooked it up it had no sound so that part flopped. And I think I could still hear the girls laughing after 1am but they had a good time.

Victor is all healed up

Well Victor seems to have turned the corner on his tonsils. He had 2 nights of good sleep and the morning of June 7 he wasn’t miserable when he woke up. Victor had his two week follow up today for tonsils, he is doing awesome and back to his usual self.
Today he comes outside with a Hershey kiss. I asked him where he got it from. He said he climbed up the washer and shelves to get it.  I then asked who said he could have it. He said, “nobody, I just wanted it.”

Impromptu trip to Rigby Lake

Trinity and Naiya were planning to go to to Rigby lake to go Kayaking. Then Jess and her family decided to go. So we threw our things in the van and joined the party. I didn't have the presence of mind to take picture (that was Missy's specialty, so consequently I don't have any of the boys). So here are some pics that Jess and Trin took. It was fun (and cold water), but was a hot day for early June (the car said 92 degrees). Trin, Ivan, and Daphne got a little sunburned The lake still is not all the way full, but we got a season pass, and I really need to get some Kayaks. Me and Vic left a little early so that I could give him meds and I could go talk to a financial advisor (the kids college is paid for now).

Kittens everywhere

Our Kittens hit the 6 week mark on sunday and they are everywhere! they stayed in their box for the first 4.5 weeks, then they climbed out. So we made a "pen" to contain them, but some of them proved to be climbers or too smart for the pen after just a week. So we just let them roam free in the garage now. They are extra cute at this stage, the kids all love spending time with them. Daphne especially loves playing with them, and even has them fall asleep on her from time to time. In the next week or two it will be time to give most of them away, because we can't have 8 cats!

Extra topsoil

As we said earlier in the blog, we have been slowly working on updating the yard and we had topsoil brought in. Well today we had a bunch of people come in to help us on the project and I will post more on that next week. But we had extra top soil left and so we reshaped it into a new jump. After I cut in some lines and tested the jump out on psychoseventy, Ivan had to hit it.

Moment of 4 kids playing nicely

Saturday we ate our dinner on the deck together just me and the four kids. It had been a hot day for late May in Idaho. After dinner the four kids decided to turn on the sprinkler under the trampoline and all play on the trampoline. With the age gaps of all four kids it is rare that they play together contently, but as I sat on the deck for 30 minutes or so watching them be silly, I couldn't help but feel Missy smile at the little moment of sibling harmony.

"Guest room"

Don’t know why we didn’t do this years ago, but we made the toy room more versatile and put a daybed with trundle and some curtains to make a “guest room”.
